About
Redcliffe Counselling

Tanya Fisher

For the past 16 years, I have worked in many private and non-government environments. This has allowed me to become effective in working with individuals and couples and the issues they face as they move through life.  I support people to explore their unhelpful thoughts, feelings and moods which can occur at any time.  Together we can work through what you bring… depression, anxiety life stage transitions, loss and grief, addictions, as well as all types of relationship, life, and career concerns.

Embracing a postmodern strengths-based approach to counselling, my work with people is embedded in strength-based practice. I look at the amazing strengths, ability, and resilience that you hold and how we can build on these to encourage you to develop self-awareness and insights into your own patterns, behaviours, and cycles and how these impact your daily living.

I love that I get to collaborate with people from all works of life and with all their different stuff. I am constantly amazed at how remarkable people are and their capacity to move through their life no matter what occurs for them.

I have been told I have a quirky sense of humour and I am not afraid to use it so buckle up and let us get working on what you want next.

Lastly and very importantly, I have been married to a wonderful man, Darrell, for almost 30 years and we have a great life living and working on the Redcliffe Peninsula.
